![]() “We’re not an English ale brewery,” says co-founder Chris Trogner. From the beginning, our brewery has been built by family, friends and kindred spirits who share a love of great beer. But don’t wait … like summer, it won’t last forever.įind Nimble Giant near you at About Tröegs Independent Brewingįounded in Pennsylvania in 1996 by brothers John and Chris Trogner, Tröegs Independent Brewing is driven by a sense of adventure and curiosity. Find it on draft and in 4-packs and cases of 16-oz. Now’s the time to get your hands on some Nimble Giant. This fan favorite is rated 4.1 on Untappd and is a consistent top 10 global trending beer on the geosocial rating platform. Clocking in at 9% ABV, this deep orange double IPA is well-balanced by a backbone of pilsner and Vienna malt and drinks so easily. In the end, the beautifully bold Nimble Giant is ripe with notes of grapefruit, pineapple and honeysuckle. We also found the small window during fermentation to optimize that late-addition hopping. At the brewery, our team came up with an innovative hopping technique – which we call the Hop Cyclone – to circulate those hop oils from the top to the bottom of our tanks, not missing an ounce of beer. It starts in the hop fields, with Simcoe’s notes of creamsicle and mango, Mosaic’s honeysuckle and grapefruit, and Azacca’s intense pineapple. Nimble is a perfect storm of ingredients, people and processes that come together to form something greater than the sum of its parts. After about a half-dozen Scratch beers, we hit upon a hop combination we loved – Mosaic, Simcoe and Azacca – and never looked back. Nimble Giant came up through our small-batch Scratch Series, starting with our first experiments with Mosaic hops. ![]() ![]() One of our most-loved beers, this annual release rivals Mad Elf for the excitement it generates every year. Nimble Giant, our gracefully dank Double IPA, is back.
